    Default boot release

my car caughgt fire and the battery melted. i think i have locked my keys in my boot and cant unlock it becoz the only key that opens my boot is in there (i think) so my question is.....
where would i find the cable that runs to the boot release solenoid.
i have a 12 volt transformer and i have been messing around with the cables under the back door on the drivers side. it says in the wiring diagram that the cable is black. i have found that one of the m is the external fuel pump and there are still 2 more and nothing happens when i earth it to the body. could this be because the negative cable runs back to the engine bay (where the fire was) and has melted it off or sumthing. i have also tried to put power through the swithch in the glove box but it didnt work. i just want to know whrere the cable for it goes so i can get my keys out and take my tail lights out so i can sell them.
    thanks alot
    chris

You will need to power up the wire you found under the drivers kick panel, so for this you will need to replace the melted battery. Be very cautious she doesent go up again, god knows what your engine bay wires are like, just sit the terminals on the battery, dont tighten them, this way if it turns sour you can quickly remove a terminal.

i really dont think u know how bad the fire was

it melted everything under the bonnet and i dont have another battery sitting around, so that means i would have to get one out of mum or dads car which is just a pain in the ass.
i really just want to stick this 12 volt transformer in sumwhere and earth it to the body and hope it will pop open. i have cut all the black wires that run under the passenger rear door so if it is one of them it wont work anymore.

i just need to know if one of hte black wires i have cut is the boot release or if it is sumwhere else. mayb my transformer doesnt have enough power ( i only assume it is 12 volts. it is from an old ikea light that broke and has nothing written on it that indicates the voltage.

i opened it. i used a 12 volt battery drill batter coz that is ac not dc like the transformer i was using. it was one of the three black cables under the drivers side door.
th only problem is now, WHERE ARE MY KEYS????

Sorry dude, after reading your post again it seems I done the old lazy read, lot clearer now, It should be just 12V straight to the solinoid and it earths itself to the bootlid via the mounting bolts, make sure your transformer is DC (not AC).If all else fails remove the back seat.
