The tick would be your lifters.. Change your engine oil .. Add some lifter free.. If they're still noisey a few thousand km's down the track they're probably cruddy.
Nothing wrong with noisy injectors though, they're not hurting anything.
almost every Vl with start with a 'stick lifter' but after driving for a short while the ticking will go. Nuthin to worry about if it happens only when you start the car
hey wicko, how did u do ur air intake? wot filter did u use to stop water, dirt, n small animals from coming in2 ur engine?
I wonder what those scales on the top right side of my posts do...
where did u get your skyline computer from, how much did u pay and did you have to change the whole ecu?

i did mine myself with some 90mm pvc pipe, i had to take off the black plastic bit underneath the radiator but,Originally Posted by markiuliano
you will need:
*hand/hacksaw.
*sillicon.
*500mm straight 90mm pvc.
*3 90 degree corners
*1 round to rectangle pvc connector (optional)
*holesaw or jigsaw
*cableties/zipties
take out ur air box and use tin or plastic with sillicon to cover up the original rectangle hole, on the side of the airbox facing drivers side mark out a hole to be cut out with holesaw (try to make it as airtight arond the pvc angle as possible, you will use the sillicon later to seal it) make sure your panel filter will still fit over the top of it!
you'll nedd abut 450mm of straight pipe to join onto the angle coming out of the airbox thatwill go inbetween the radiator shroud and pully,
use some angle with a bit of leftover straight pipe inbetween them (just enough to get them to go together) at the bottom to go AROUND the bottom of the radiator or it will sit too close to the ground and look stupid like my 1st attempt...this is where you put the round to rectange bit for extra air catchment if u want to, you can paint it black to make it harder to see, seal with sillicon on the inside and outside of the airbox where the pvc is, hold it all into place with some cable ties, put ur air box back together and test it out... works better with K n N panel filter. if you have a pod filter you can have the same setup that just blows colder air onto the pod but it wont be as effective... i dont take full credit for this setup... one of the guys in vt/vx posted somthing similer and i went from there. (PIPE IS TOO STEEP FOR WATER TO GET UP THERE, CHECK FOR LEAVES THOUGH THEY DONT GET UP THERE THAT OFTEN)

hmmm.. i dont get what you're doing with the radiator? and also are you putting the 90degree angle pipe at the endo of your setup? (at the bumper)? so when it sux in it has to go almost str8 up then across? and also where abouts did u run the end of ur piping? to the bumper grill?
