vt seats in vl???

Hey guys/gurls as some of u's know i smashed my vl 2 weeks ago an am going to building a new one with the works just wanted to know as im thinkn on puttn vt seats in it, how do i go about putting to front vt seats in the back too make it a 2 seater and do thay bolt in at the front or is the moding to do?

The VT front seats wont bolt straight in. the rails are way longer than VB-VL also the way they bolt in is completely different.
The mounting on the VT is risen out of the floor where as the VB-VL they bolt into the floor.

It certainly can be done though I am in the process of fitting a pair of front seats to my VK.

As for the rears I believe the rear seat is alot wider than the VB-VL so it wont fit.

I honestly don't like it. You lose the option of carrying a 3rd passenger and you get more wasted space.

has onyone put FRONT VT or later seats into their vl?? with the problems mentioned b4 how is this overcome? and how much are the later seats these days?

yeah, its been done.

just have to get the rails modified and engineered i believe. i don't think its too difficult adapting the rails but who really knows, not me! haha

Not sure, you'll have to ask some local places around you, try panel beaters or some performance mechanics. They'd have to know who would do engineering certificates. Then just go talk to the guys that do the certificates and tell them what you want to do.

If you've got that engineering certificate to say its safe. the cop can piss off as theres nothing he can do about it.

there also could be some ADR rule for the vl but im not sure, the monaro's have this configuration or a similar one in the back, making it a 2+2

1 person i can live without! i already only let 4 ppl in my car if its a MUST!!
i dont like to fold the arm rest up as it effects the sub's sound as it is vented through the middle of the seats!! i would love to have it so nobody could sit there at all!!

i dunno exactly how to go about it...
im sure you could rip all the railing off the bottom of a vt seat! have it sit on the steal frame of the car and also i think vt have a plastic thing on the back which could be pulled off to make it sit further towards the back! lay a nice new carpet in it. new parcel shelf colour and along between the seats aswell as all under lay of the car!

then dig around the wreckers and find a center dash that is well padded that will fit between the seats! =) sounds good to me!!
i bet there would be alota otha shit u would have to change around but theroy is easy =P lol....

also was just looking around at some things!

that dude with the stato all done up! umm. the boot goes straight up and has airbag suspencion with 20" rims

its in the "my ride" section..

he has done something along the same lines!!

you should ask him how much it cost and that and yeh... it has pictures too...

then tell me what he says =) lol. im tooo hpat!
