Default hate to say this but my vl broke down :( any one know what it could be

okay so i think i have had problems with my afm but not to sure. it was running pretty rough a few days ago until i disconnected then connected back the afm then ran fine. today it started up normally warmed it up for a few minutes heading to school i filled up at the service station but then it wouldn't start the motor was turning over but no start (worst place to brake down was so busy) any way rolled it to a waiting bay tryed a few more times and no start came back a few hours later and managed to get it going after pumping the accelerator but as soon as i took my foot off it just stalled on me. so anyone know what it might be (i know it could be so many diff things) thanks in advance.

is there a way of testing the crank angle sensor or is it a matter of getting a new one and seeing if it works?
