    Exclamation Diognosis please!

RB 30 turbo. On hard acceleration, hard cornering, the car coughs, dies for a moment, the shoots off like a rocketship! Could it be fuel starvation? Can fuel injected cars suffer from this?

Starts fine. One injector is weeping, dont think that will do it. Fuel load makes no difference either.

start by getting that weeping injector fixed. it needs to be fixed anyway, so if it fixes your problem double the fun!

If you gave me 100 Dollars I'd give you 6 of my old n/a injectors.

They're all second hand though and could use a clean.

Ahh sorry, didn't realise it was turbo.

Most sets go for around 250+ second hand.

every time i've pulled the rail, i've had them cleaned. And new hoses fitted with new clamps. Under $100 each time. Thats for a set.

100 dollars a set to clean? Thats pretty good value. I paid 200 and that wasn't including hoses.

a weeping injector should only create smoke out the exhaust. with fuel flow the relay for the fuel pumps, remembering there are two pumps, make them either flow at full flow or not at all. it doesn't matter how hard you accelerate the flow stays the same. the prob could be from a stuffed filter, the primary pump could have a full strainer, or one of the pumps could have an intermittent fault. the fuel return line could be blocked too. start at the cheapest fix and work your way up. depending on mods you may need a fuel regraph.

Found the problem, i think. I was doing the weekly fluid check,& now i have 2 leaking injectors! Filter is probably stuffed too. Been meaning to change it! Looks like the fuel rail is comming out again! Anyone got used turbo injectors? Reco price was $15 per injector including new hoses & clamps. But if the body leaks, they are throw aways. New price is $160-180 each.
