When the car is cold, it idles on about 700rpm. But when i give it a hurry up, it idles on 1100rpm, & stays like that. Crank angle sensor? RB30 ET
I would start withthe basics.
Check throttle is not sticking, and that it comes back against the stop. Sounds obvious but you never know.
There are two solenoid operated valves that affect idle.
the first is the AAC valve allows the ECU to let a bit more are in to increase throttle when the engine is under load idling eg putting the gearbox into drive.
the second is the FICD valve which lets more air in when the air cond is turned on to cater for the load of the compressor.
I don't think the CAS would increase revs.
Hope this helps![]()
probably something do do with the ECU, it cant hurt to just take the leads off the battery for 20 minutes and then try it again.
I probably should have mentioned, its been converted to manual.Still got the auto ecu.
