i have decided that i want to make a project car and i will be buying the best cheap vl i see im gonna use my current vl as transport :P i need to know like wat colour should i paint it and can u fella's post some pics of vl's with paint jobs so i can have a look i was thinking that hothouse green on the new commodores or a dark blue

go a 2 tone paint job i recommend. or go black, that always turns heads but hard to keep clean

theres a VL wagon in hothouse green going around my area, doesnt look that great in my opinion, alot better colours out there. as stock_vl said, the candy colours are hot and dark purple over silver looks mint

don't go the paint that changes colour. there are more AU falcons around with it then you can poke a stick at. nothing beats a good solid colour with a silver or white coat laid down first under it. the VL does look good 2 tone though with a silver bottom half. check out the show Pimp My Ride for ideas.

oi fella's i dont have a deep pocket here ay so i wont be going out and affording candy's , or mirrar chrome im thinking a metalic , even a simple pearl nothing like i forget wat this paint effect is called but check the pic

yeah thats the one that changes colour, from gold to purple and what not. i saw a AU falcon yesterday that had that paint on the rear half only, on an angle from the bottom of the B pillar up to the top of the rear windscreen and across the whole back of the car. Very Sad.
