depends if it's an exec, berlina or calais. 6cyl, turbo or v8, auto or manual. what condition etc etc. anywhere from several hundred dollars to several thousand. How much work are you willing to put in and how extreme do you want the car to look and drive?

Just check out the trading post, there will be one for sure for that price for sure.

What do you plan on doing for the project? How far do you want to go with it?

yeah, its really how far you want to take the project, exhaust and intake or more. you may as well go with the turbo because then you dont need to do as much to get power out of it. You dont see them for sale often but every now and then on ebay but dont think many will be in the trading post.

He can't get a turbo. He's only 16. new laws prevent L and P platers driving v8's and turbo's. A non-turbo is plenty of power for a 16 year old.

once you get one do the standard stuff first. you can do it all yourself to so won't cost you that much. Put lowered suspension in (don't drop it on it's guts though, you want to increase handling capability is all), extractors and exhaust, cold air intake, k&N filter, decent sound system, get the windows tinted, then save your cash and put some decent rims on. Then you can muck around with the interior and expanding the sound system, and a bodykit on the outside, although some look really good without a bodykit and only having tinted windows and nice rims.

a paint job is usualy a big part of making a custom car. would you be spending that mutch later on?? look for a nice body roling shell then put the engin in urself
or atleast make sure the one your getting is strate. nothing like pouring money into a messed up car

    Default hehe rust

if u doin all the work go out and find one with the straightest possible body and the least amount of rust doors can be replaced boots can be changed but its things like rear gutters on the vl's and from windscreen moulds that tend to rust on the vl's find one that has never been in an accident doesnt matter if the paint is faded and the motor is a bit shabby all these can be replaced

when i bought mine i went out looking and i saw some good ones but with minor damage to them its, repairable but i found one with the least amount of damage possible a missing front grill and badge some slight cigarette burns in the seats and $2000 and i had a car that was fixed in 2 day's and the motor was mint fixed small rust spots every now and then and yay

its cool now but like bex said keep ur eye out in the trading post something will come along now
Its Stock And it Rocks .... ditch the bitch lets go racing

I was up to around 20 thousand on my old car. Thats everything though from tint, three different gearboxes, services, headlights, taillights, paint, interior, steering wheel, interior, stereo, turbo bits.

Not much really, especially when I'll do that amount on the new car and it will be heaps better.
