hey guys im having a lot of troubles with my gearbox. i have a very low bitting point with my clutch and i can select 1-5 but reverse crunches.ive bled the clutch 4-5 times and made sure there is no airbubbles.the clutch that came with the conversion wasnt the best but looked like it had some life in it.the slave looks fairly new.
any help would be great
cheers Allan
3 things i can point out because im tracking the same issue!
1.slave needs replacing
2.bent clutch fork?
3.theres an adjustment on the back of the clutch pedal try that.
ive looked at all my issues and have put mine down to the slave cylinder
can you tell by looking at the slave that there is a problem or is it internal
internal from what i understand......
there cheap as anyways like $30 or so what i was told but i havent yet gone and got a real price........
how bad is it?adjust from the back of the clutch pedal try that first
i will look into that pedal and ill pick up a new slave. just did a little bit of research and people having similar problems it was either the slave or pressure plate. if the master there should be a leak or wetness from behind the master, let me know how you go mate.is your pedal feel extremely soft
i have a new excedy button clutch in mine.i just cant get that extra adjustment so just going to do the slave this weekend and should be all good
i hope for your sake it fix's the problem.my clutch is kinda old but should still work.ill pick up a new slave tomorrow and fit it up ill let you know tomorrow night how it go's
hows the box in general??
synchros all good? have u fully adjusted as well?
i cant vouch for the gearbox. but org owner told me it was a good unit. adjusted the pedal ??
Yea adjust the pedal on the back it gives you more pedal to push
ah ok will do. looks like the master is fairly new. i took the slave off and took the boot off and looks a little rust inside. so i guess fluid has leaked. and done a heap of reading and people having the same issue. reverse crunches as its straight cut and the normal gears are not.and turns out most cases the slave
Rust could make it stick and not move free
well took the slave to work and had one of the guys check it out as we have a hydraulics cell. and slave was taken apart and seems fine and also got in contact with the owner before me and he had replaced both master and slave. and said he had the same problem as me and turned out to be some spring in the pedal so ill be looking into that soon
got the clutch working pretty much spot on. adjusted the master cylinder rod and pedal is firm and can select all gears and biting point is much better
