Interior

I've been thinking about upgrading the interior in my vl.
Just curious as to what will fit straight in or with out much hassle.
Like what model year etc.

I'm thinking backseats, dash, and maybe door cards.

nothing really but vl..

in my opinion the vl dash is the nicest.....
if i was going o up grade trim i would go for vl ss grpa scheel trim and my second choice would be coulsin trim.....

I have seen a nice VL Calais Turbo with a VT SS interior in it. Would have been a head f**k trying to put it in i'd imagine, but the end result was excellent.

agreed with bow down, the vl dash was the nicest of the first gen commodores, as for the coulsin trim, a mate of mine had a VLT wagon with a full coulson HSV interiour and i remember him saying if he had to do it over again, he wouldnt

I'm Gonna redo the interior cause i dont like the white, I'm just gonna take it out clean it up and change the colour.

BUT the missus doesn't appreciate older cars so she requested I look into something more modern.

Well now i can say I've looked into it and it's not gonna be time or cost effective.
Mind you would be nice to go all out put some really nice interior in it but i don't have the funds or the motivation.

I'm probably going to re-do my interior at some stage, I need to pull my drivers and passengers arm rests off and re-do them since the material and foam are pulling away from the bar, but yeah I love the VL SL interior so I plan on keeping it, just tidying mine up.

But back to OP, yeah keep the VL, I haven't heard of anything really transplanting straight in apart from what's been said.

Yeah i hate the jack daniels.
it looks bearable on the doors but the dash reflects of the wind screen and the sun visors looks tacky.

I like the vl interior myself. This one just needs a bit of work.
I'm thinking about keeping with black and white theme just with a lot less white
