Default Help Please, boot not opening!!

I bought a donor vl recently and the boot will not release. I want to check what kind of condition the boot lining is in. Does anyone know a way to get it open??

Boot release button in the glove box or use a key, otherwise, large wrecking bar, angle grinder, oxy torch, axe, or you could try removing the rear seat and going through there then use a screw driver on the latch.

Either the electric release or try and pry out the lock or use a screw driver

remove back seat, there are triangular holes behind the seat, get a torch and a long piece of wire with a hook on the end, reach in and hook the cable that is attached to the auto release and pull.
this worked for me, then oil lock and adjust stricker. and maybe fix auto release.
    goodluck.

edit; even with a crow bar it is very hard and lots of damage, best bet is to use a large screwdriver and gut and remove the lock.

+1, don't use a crowbar, no way! Most cars have an area behind the rear seats where you can release the boot, as for getting the glove box button to work, I have no idea how they are wired etc.

What about the key? Why won't that work?
