If Cars could scream Rape, I'm sure yours just did because I just eye fuc&ed the shit out of the above images.
Do a google search for vl walkinshaw bound to be a pic out there then just compare the two.
It appears it maybe. But in saying that it may just be a later model Calais dash too.

walkys have a different dash to any other vl.
aestheticcally it may loomk the same but they work in a different way with the efi.
so to do a efi conversion to a vl you need a custom dash or a walkinshaw dash.
the bit i'm not sure about is the revs. i think the walky has the orange and red for revs in a different place to the carby v8.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 6 cyl VL EFI?
yep rb30's were all 6cyl but the 6 and 8 dashs are different. its got to do with the revs and the speed and the rev warning areas if that makes sense
my old man has a walky and there are a few guys i know who have done conversions. the vl walky dash will work directly with an ef1 5.0l but the carby v8 dash's need some sort of adapter or a custom dash setup to make it work properly.
According to the parts book it's identical to a late 8 cyl Calais.
Assembly part number 92032202 for both.
interesting, maybe the speedo sender unit was different and thats where these urban myths i've been hearing are different? Wish i could view photos and ebay at work i'd get a snap of both.
