Hi ive snapped the axel on my drivers seat 1986 VL executive
At the wreckers i saw a probably 1988 VL calais seat in good condition. They chargin $55 :S
Anyway, are the connections the same??
Would this be an easy switch over??
I guessing its just a 4 allen key bolted component, any other parts to consider?
Cheers for any help, regards
Carn ok so im a dumb kent and yes its funny
can someone please give me a yes or a no?
I gotta drive 30km for 88 seats, pay cash for them and then try put them in 86 vl
carn please some one help, is it possible?
Thanks matey.
U hav won 50 billion dollars for helping me
^^ In your offshore accounts hey
payment will hav to be made using Kmart gift card vouchers
they were locktited in and an allen key head for a socket set helps
some drivers seats dont have height adjustment
Yeah a rachet would have been nice. One bolt took half hour wif just allen key grrr
the replacement seat is now in and is almost fantastic
there seems to be a slight tilt to the left
is there any way to adjust the axel on the chair to possibly square up the alignment of the back rest?
the frame the seat is on is probably bent from an accident or age. there aren't any adjusters as such.
Longer bolts, and pack it out with washers to bring the leaning side up.
When i changed my seats overe the bolts seized in the thread. Had to cut the frame of the old chair up so i could get enough of a socket in to undo the old bolts. I then replaced them with High-Tensile items.

maybe the bolts should be sprayed with lube a day before or somethin
but yeah will prob try a washer in under to raise
only need about a 2-3mm lift surely the same bolt will be long enough to cover the new distance
