Default mums air flow sensor keeps blowing

I gave mums car a service, changed oil+filter, spark plugs leads sissy cap all new belts. Full throttle body clean and new injectors. Put a brand new air flow sensor (metre) in and it drove mint for about 3 days. Then she broke down. Tow it back to mine and it was running like a piece of s hit. Back fired. So changed the afs again. Sweet. 2 days later same blew afs. Now afta puttn 5 afs in it, its still blown them. Iv checked thr wiring for it and nothing wrong in that department. Any ideas wots wrong. Thx heaps.

i would go over the things you changed if it worked fine before you serviced it. check timing and see if u plugged all the injectors in to start with

Iv gone ova wot iv changed and I got it all correct. The timing is correct. As soon as I put a new afs in it's perfect. But it just keeps blowin them afta a couple of days. This has been going on for nearly 2 weeks now.

Ok changed the wiring harness for the afm and checks the rest of the harness out. Looks all good. No kinks or bends or any part sqaushed. Checked voltage and seems ok so nothing earthing out. Went back to repco and got anutha afm ( number 6 now) and put it in. Seems ok 4 now. Fingers crossed.
I'm sik of mum hounding me about her car. Lol

    Arrrrrgh again. Farkn blew again.

Went and got a mobile mechanic to come out and he said there's nothing wrong and can't understand y the afm keeps blowin. So I walk in to Repco again and the bloke tells me, 'we have had a few people having the same problem. That we have a faulty batch of afm's delivered to us from our supplier. It's not your car'. HOORAAY I knew I done everything rite on the car. So now I gota get all the receipts and get my (mums) money back and they gave me a Bosch afm (which retails for $720) for half price) for all the stuffing around. The one I was putting in was a repco brand ($310). Now it's all done. Yeeeaaahhh.

I don't Wana c your car again mum, thx

I would have told them to give me a Bosch one for free, f-ck half price, if you have bought like $1000 worth of AFM's and they were a bad batch, it isn't your fault it's theirs

Go and crack the shits I think they are still ripping you off. As I reckon repco get Injectronics Automotive Electronics Parts Melbourne Australia - HOME to rebulid the original airflow meter or they can .
I got a vk 1 rebuilt (change over it happened that day) from burnsons from under $400 cant see a vl 1 be much different in price.
