hmm, ive heard that u get a t piece from the oil sender, i did that for my old tg gemini and ran the oil return down the dipstick LOL and kept the dipstick in the bay, pull hose out check oil put hose backdodgey but never failed. and some turbos dont need water so you can get away with just oil lines, the rest is a piece of cake.
stop crying and turbo it,,, i did the conversion 2 years ago and still going strong. hahah

PICTURE TIMMMME. red did the ignition timing and its spot on, i checked it with a timing light afterbut still wont tick over so doing cam timing next, i turned it off one day and it wouldnt start the next day and kept front firing.
setting the ignition timing on an rb30 without a timing light
turn the bottom pulley (Crankshaft pulley) till you see a series of marks, there will be a little marker on the timing cover, line the first mark up with this little notch. your are either at top dead centre, or bottom dead centre, i placed a screwdriver down the spark plug hole of cylinder one and slowly turned the bottom pulley, if your at top dead centre the screwdriver gets pushed up, dodgey, but it worked for me! i checked my timing after this with a timing light and it is spot on 0 degrees!
undo your dizzy cap, there is two phillips head screws, your bay should look like this after you get it off, dont take the leads off if you dont have to, saves u mixing them up.
now undo the bolt holding the dizzy to the head, and pull it out of your engine, you will see two dots on the gear that goes into the head, one deep one and another one to the right of it and slightly above it, and youl also see a line, what you do is you turn the dizzy to line up the shallow dot with the line on the dizzy itself. (mine is lined up on the wrong dot in the photo)
now when you put slide the dizzy back into the head, line up the line on the dizzy to the casting mark on the head. then gently push it in, the dizzy will turn about 1/4 turn as it slides in.
if you have done this correctly and your engine is at exactly top dead centre, this is the position your dizzy should be in. say hello to 0 degrees timing

if you only took dizzy out why are you messing with base timing for?
and you can take leads of its a two second thing to put them back into correct position as the cap is numbered
stripped out the interior today, cleaned the carpet gave the seats a good clean, suprisingly didnt find to much crap under it all. going to be fun putting it all back in tomorow! re did the dodgey wiring to the rear speakers done by previous owner. removing the lpg next weekend hopefully to![]()
