Removed the afm yesterday (i also have a spare one),now i seem to recall reading they are supposed to have
a triangulated wire in the air passage, mine don't.Just 3 small stubs around 1/8" long and 1 blade perhaps 1/2"
long.
Does this mean they're US?
If so i need a new one, please give me a source for these.
regards
colin.
yeah there is meant to be a thin hair like wire in a triangle kinda pattern.. "Hot wire" if u dont c 1 either ur eyes r Kaput or ur missing this said piece.
ebay. wreckers etc for another. or get a parts shop to get one in.. "But u got a spare right?"
i have 3 but there mine MWahhhhh coz i know what they r like. Lols
goodluck man
Yeah thanks m8,couldn't see the wire but turned around in the light they're both there and ok.
Cleaned up the IAC and AAC now idling good.
So next i'll fit a new Cat,saw one on fleebay for $145 last week but can't find it now, blast.
Also found the reason the AC was dying when climbing any hill,it was the small one way valve
on the line to the vac ball. Also got a good running AC fan from the wreck which is still there.
(It was one that the council has collected off the street somewhere, now there is a VR beside it
also)
Also going to throw the speedo assembly from it into mine hopefully will fix an occasional wobbly
needle and fuel gauge which cuts in and out.
cheers
