87 berlina going to the original look
paint on roof and boot is starting to flake/fade... bit of bubble rust under windscreen... interior all good, perfect condition besides the executive centre console... alpine deck and 4 speaker pioneer stereo tastefully installed so that it will not be able to be defected for... good tires 215s with original hubcaps been retouched... 30 cm dent on drivers door but is hardly visible... 167000 Ks engine runs like a dream.
disregard the front bumper and lack of front trim. Both front and back are going to be professionally resprayed along with the trims

Looks pretty good, considering I got mine for $3,650, wouldn't be suprised if you got $3,000 - $4,000 if someone really wanted it. Same colour as mine lol but you know how it goes, you could put $3,000 on it and someone would pick up everything you noted and try to drop it to $2,000 or some bs

thanks for the help. How many Ks did your vl have when you picked her up??
I think mine had around 170,xxx on the ticker when I got her. Since March this year, when I picked her up, I've had to get a new alternator, new fuel pump, change the CAS, fix a blown radiator [my bad], new thermostat + gasket, new drum cylinders for the rear brakes, and new front and rear sway arm bushings lol.
The guy wanted $4,500, so we talked him down to $3,500 but he rung back saying he wasn't sure he wanted to go that low, so I said mate, $3,650 cash today, I will come over right now and get it, so he said okay and wham bam thank you man!
I put my Nissan Silvia S13 up for $6,000 after I bought it for $4,250. I spent probably $1,500 fixing it, and it just became too much when my mechanic told me the cooling system was on it's way out. I ended up getting $5,500 for it lol, the buyer was putting a new motor and box in it and to be honest it was the cleanest one I've seen in a while.
Here's my baby now as of the other day when I washed her after de-badging:

looks clean.... good taste! sounds alright but seems a bit steep considering all the shit you had to fix! besides that the body looks immaculate..
i lol when people go pay $4000+ for a vl.....
shit back in 2000 when i purchased my first vl exec i picked it up for $4000 of an old guy with reco head.i spent $350 on chasers and tyres and i had a wicked car for a young person back then...
i only got $6000 for my vl calais.
mint black paint.
5 speed.
mint trim.
most vls are so thrashed and are useless these days looking like absolute crap! so its hard to come across one that has been kept well. The old guy i bought this of never put his foot down
^^^ thats what he tells u..
Bet pops was a lead foot for sure
At the end of the day though, it's still just an old car. $2000 if you're lucky. I picked up my VL for $2500 7 years ago. No faded paint, "original spec" a years reg and roady.

be prepared to sell for 3 though. good kms / paint by the sounds and tidy interior. also being v original helps it a lot.
Sold my old VL SL/Berlina a year or two ago for around $1100, same condition/features as yours minus the dent and at 177,000klm.
VL's here in SA arent worth the metal there stamped out of unless there a Calais, Turbo or "modded".
Saying that I bought it back for $50.
Probably looking at selling it again soon, with all the work/"mods" done to it recently I would be hoping get around $1800.
In sa unless its 5spd and under a $1000 your pushing shit up hill
might be worth mentioning what engine...
unless i missed it?
^^Generally an RB30 Inline 6 for those following and not VL savvy :P
Plenty savvy buddy rb30 not the only engine released though... Is it rb30t? 308? Etc.
Not arguing was just pointing it out
But yes rb30 was most common.
Wanted to buy VC sunroof
Pm me
and rb25(NZ spec)... but most was RB30
All good.you only look silly if you get number plates for a vn/vs with 308 in it lol
$1500 to $2000 imo vl are not good sellers i sold a immaulent white vl good paint no rust 4 months rego black 17s the blue intirior looked like it hadnt been sat in original stereo 2nd owner we got $1500. And we had 10+ lebs test drive it with there mates... it was a #### to sell never again...
And also the people that look at them are young with no money and they just want a drive of it.
