hey everyone. i want to swap my rear drums for V8/turbo discs and had a few questions:-
1. Is the handbrake setup at the rear different?
2. Is there mounts already there for the calipers?
3. Someone here said backing plates were different but i didn't think there were any for discs?
4. Brake hose lengths, any difference?
5. Hub differences?
6. Brake booster different?
7. and last, should i put one of those valves in to adjust the brake bias?
Tell me the goss boys (and girls). and anything i've missed. I already know to get slotted but not cross drilled as they can crack under heat, probably more front than rear but anyway.

you can use your axles all you need is a hand brake cable ,all the handbrake shoes clips and springs ,lines ,calipers ,discs and backing plates and a disc brake wheel bearing set for the rear axles
Not 100% certain, but i done this conversion to a uc torana years ago. Everything worked perfectly, but when the brake pedal was depressed, the pedal would return slowly. Turned out all i needed to do was remove a small plastic piece from the master cylinder rear brake line outlet.
you need to put backing plates on(which means removing the axles) the brake lines that run along the axles need changing, you have to put a different handbrake cable on(make shure that you run them through th lower control arms, you don't need to change the brake booster, you have to put disc bearings on the axles(they are different to drum ones) and the mounts are already there......hope that helps you out
Click the scales.....you know you want to!!!!
