Default want lumpier idle without spending big bucks

i was just curious as to weather or not its possible to make a straight 6 vl commodore lumpy?? ive got genie extractors, a high flow cat and a 2.5 inch exhaust system, i know i can make it have a lumpy idle if i fork out fair wack of money for bigger cam, but is there anyway apart from that??

to get a cam that will have somthing you desire. you will need to spend a fair amount of money mate. differnt engine but my old 304 engine i was running a fairly rough cam. and that had ported heads.high comp pistons.roller rockers.etc.

alternatively you could unplug a couple of injectors, safer than having a rogue spark lead floating around the engine bay

It is a waste when you consider how much better it is turbo'd. Crow are good. If I was you I would save for a turbo.

Just a daily you want to stay N/A then just keep a good service up on it don't bother modifying the motor.

Going say 2.5in - 3in from your diff can make your car have an off beat not when it idles. Its not the same as a cam but its better than that uniform sounding drone.

Wont a decent cam change require an aftermarket computer of some description?

I think some ricers use a Rotational Idle setup on n/a engines to get a rough idle (part of a anti lag system).Search ,Rotational Idle on youtube to see what i mean.

A good cheap option is to contact wade cams and get an old cam reground! Usually costs around $150 plus return shipping. Surely gotta beat forking out $440+ for a new cam!
