column cover has 3 screws accessed from underneath
indicator stalk is accessed from under the steering wheel.
Steering wheel has to come off.
Stalk may or may not be the problem, there is a plate that is moved by the stalk which is fixed under the mount for the stalk.
I have spares of both if you are interested.

take the steering wheel off, make sure to marke the column spline and and wheel so you can put it back on in the same spot.
when the wheel is off you will see the problem, there is a plate spring with a bend in it that rests on the plastic housing (top for left, bottom for right) the plastic is probably worn and not allowing the spring to rest on it.
Nobody wants to play with me

remove steering wheel,in blinker switch there are 2 wire springs, one has probably broken, replace both springs, probably still available from a holden dealer, they are of different colours
there is another flat silver metal spring that eventually breaks, dont know if this is still available anywhere
the blinker unit can be repaired with new springs, doesnt need to be replaced
