high speed front wheel wobble

my VL wagon has a high speed front wheel wobble, felt thru the steering wheel, it comes and goes for no apparent reason
have been told its from a worn out steering rack but others say rack would give plenty of warning when steering if it was worn

the bolts holding the rack to chassis seem OK except one bolt that isnt very tight and cant be tightened any more, was told this is normal

any suggestions ??

Try castor rod bushes I just replaced mine last night and it disapeared

not something silly like loose wheel nuts?
front end vibration can be a number of things
ranging from
worm bearings, Bushes, Wheel weight has been thrown off, Steering rack, tie-rod ends, brake rotor warped, bent rim,
most of these are felt at all speeds though

my wagon was doing that at about 90-110 on the highway got a wheel balance and allgood now
