it seems almost impossible to remove and replace the bottom radiator hose on the 6cyl VL without removing both the fan shroud and the fan
is there any trick to doing this job
it cant be got at from underneath either it seems
also I read that theres a baffle in the radiator to cope with the fact that both hoses attach to the same side and that if this baffle drops, the water doesnt go thru the core, resulting in drastic overheating
maybe take the shroud off but not the fan
When you fit the hose, put the clamp in a position where you can access it? Got no problem removing mine from the top! Dont have to remove anything!
It is a fun job.
i agree totally.Originally Posted by coolngroovy

stick your hand down there n skrew it off. even easier than it sounds...
lol. yeh i managed to do it the other week dude!
although my hand did find it hard im sure you could still do it..
u mite have to start with a small shifter if the clamp thing has turned and u cant get to the actuall bit for screw driver...
if you gets me!
umm out of curiousity!!
where the hell is the block on the block thats ment to be undone when flushing block and radiator!! its ment to be near a turbo coolant plug?:S or something!
i couldnt find it. it just stated on the side of the block with a dodgey pic in my manual
I CANT WALK ON WATER BUT I CAN STUMBLE ON ALCOHOL
just pull your thermostat out. then back flush it.
the drainplug is hard to get at, under the exhaust pipe, helps to remove the wheel
