What i want to do is redo everything on the interior with differnt cloured material over EVERYTHING. ei leather or vynil.
if anyone saw that red vs at the motor show in perth a few months back it got 912 hp. well anyways it had a really nice (leather?) interior i think. all in creamish sort of colour. this was on the roof and on the floor and seats and all.
so thats what i want to do. im gonna start with the door trims cos they look easy to reproduce. but ill make them nicer and less flat than the stock predecessors. but i dont know where to get the right kind of material to do it in.
im pretty sure i want that cream colour but does any one else have any suggestions? of colour or material?
Half a carton and still going!!! Now thats Economy
talk it over with a motor trimmer, see yellow pages
be aware that a professionally done interior will cost a fortune which you will never get back when the car is eventually sold
much of the interior plastic may be very brittle and break easily
maybe get a calais interior from a wrecking yard
nah i wanna do it myself hey. its cheaper that way. adn ill be so much more satisfied at the end. i might get the seats covered by someone but as much as i can will be don by me

isn't that the case for everycar on the market??? as soon as something is bought off the shelf it loses at least 25% re-sell value...
i'm sure that if everyone thought about selling their car in 10years time they wouldnt bother modifying anything... true?
live for the moment i say
and back to the subject, not many places sell fabric/leather/vinyl direct to the public BUT a hunt in the yellow pages n u'll find a couple, cutting and stenciling fabric is easy.. jst find someone that can use a sewing machine n u'll be right.
another thing to consider is only motor trimmers have the propper pinning guns to hold the fabric to the rods under the seats.. not sure if u'd have to buy one or borrow one on a sunday from a trimmer? good luck

ever thought of vynal dying some more simple parts?
and that green vl with th ecream interior looks hot
who go thte latest street commodores mag. that had some great stuff in it. there was a vz centre console in a vl
very nice.
I am going to mould the doors a bit. the wood i bought is a little thicker thanthe original stuff so i can actually stick stuff to it better. whats a good material other than wood that i can use for the moulding stuff. ie new door handles
i want to change more than just the colour so vynil die is no

do wot i do, goto the wreckers n check out EVERY car in the joint.
u'll get some mad idea,s.. chances are u'll end up leaving with bits n peices from bmw's, fords... i got my center console lid from a ford, looks sick, interior like from an old saab, gearshift from a newish barina i think?
n i think u'll have to stik wit timber for ur doortrims, head to a fibreglass place n have a chat to them about covering the timber in fibreglass... if ur goen all-out custom
