how do i pull off the strips on the sides of the doors without damaging any paintwork? do u just pull them off carefully or is there somthing you can use? also what can i use to clean off the old glue and what kind of glue do i use to put them back on... i am painting all my bumpers and side strips coz theyre lookin a bit old, thanks

all i know is that it's a hard job, you have to be careful not to crack them or break them in half. if you do break them and your in NSW there is a commodore place in newcastle and they freight out as well.
oh ok if i do get em off any ideas about the glue? or whatever it is that holds them on?

i think there is a thread on this somewhere - i'm guessing its the same method as with a VN? (black plastic strips?)
Suggestions for this (from memory) were using fishing line behind it the cut the glue, then using a hairdrier/heat gun to get the glue off. Have a search in the vn forums - goodluck!
