TURBOING my vl

hey boys

just postin a thread just to see if any of you's know a rough price on turboing my VL fitted and everything its a 1988VL Sl RB30 and i want to turbo it. what sort of a price range am i looking at $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Are you doing the work.

Do you want a price including gearbox and brakes?

Given the current trend you'd be lucky to get it all for under 1500. But 1500 for the turbo bits.

Then depending on whether its manual or auto depends on whether you should upgrade or not. Brakes you should. Discs.. 350 to do front and rear vlt spec brakes.

Sounds like a good budget, but for that price he could probably get a factory turbo VL Berlina, that way there wouldn't be the issue of legality and engineers certificate etc. turning the SL into a turbo.. It really depends on what he wants to do though, have a reliable car (home built) or one of questionable status (buying used turbo car, has it been thrashed, etc.).. doing it himself would be better because for that price the performance would be better but yeah

my advice is go have a look at the multiple copys of this thread!!
the question has been asked by every new user to the vl forum!
