    no comment......
like the dude says the red ones look goood in the flesh...
those white crappy things off ebay look like cheap stickers! terrible!!
i dont think the effort would pay off with either way....
its prob easier just ripping out all the little lights and changing them to what ever colour u want n solder them in!!
just my opinion. i didnt even bother reading the first link it went for hours...

as he said in the thread..

changing the light colours themselves don't work as easily because the backing is green. if you try and put a red light through it turns brown.

Calais dash cluster you can pick up generally around 60+ It's basically exactly the same as the tacho cluster, except it has grey inserts, low coolant warning and low battery warning or something like that.

Generally they go for around 70-80 dollars though.

I agree with steve-o. I'm looking at getting some myself. he can do any colour you want. I'm going maroon backing with silver writing to match my car. he can also do them so they glow red at night. yay.

From the wreckers, maybe rare spares.

rarespares is a website, not sure where they are really located though.

if you call a few wreckers they may have one, might be able to track one down even.. just have to go browsing, i got mine off ebay about 3 months ago.

theres one out strathfield way too if you're in sydney. although not sure if still open. there was one out gosford and kincumber way on the central coast. same story though, not sure if bought out, i think one is now bullseye, possibly the kincumber one.

by the way i spoke with the guy off ebay who does those instrument cluster faces and they are made of plastic. they replace the original face. so they aren't a sticker or paper face.

i thought of this idea, look in the trading post and if you see "vl calais, good for parts or wrecking" ring up and ask if you can have the cluster for $50
actually may aswell get the seats and doors aswell...
