electric ariel jumper

ive gotta get round to getting my electric ariel to go, it needs a jumper off the head deck which is no prob but i cant find the original wire. The haynes book says the original head deck had a pink wire for it but i cant find it. Ive found some stuff for the ariel behind where the engine management computer is but i have no idea what wire there im supposed to be jumping. Can anyone help??

what sort of head unit are you running now? 95% head units will have a remote wire which will operate the aerial and amps and such(on the couple ive installed they have been a blue wire). if you have the original unit then id be lookiing at the back of the radio for the pink wire and following it, or just tap into it near the unit.

ive got a jvc mp3 player that has seperate blue wires for the amp remote and the ariel jumper. i cant find the original pink wire that was the jumper from the original head unit anywhere under the dash but i found where the wires come in from the ariel with the coaxial. they go down to the relay i found behind the engine management computer then turn into a bunch of other wires that go back up into the dash but i cant trace those as they merge with a bunch of other wires under some insulation. Id have to tear the whole dash apart as well as all the wiring to find anything. if im right about the relay itl be one of those wires, i just dont know which one...

so just hook the elec aerial straight up to the aerial control from the new head unit....?
