does a 2 1/2 inch exhust give any power increase? i jst bought a vl and it came with the exhaust jst wondering if it will have more power than a standard one? wat sort of increase range are we talking bout?

no the stock vl has a 2in standard system=shithouse

put on extractors and 2.5 sports system=lotsa fun but sore ears...lol

lol turbo's dont sound like what ive heard but ive only noticed it with some cars form a certain town or area......maybe its just a dodgey exhaust place

most proberly but i have heard of an exhaust TIP that is supposed to make a small whistleing soung, dunno if its true but

POD Filters will make a whistling noise and a sucking noise... for shits and giggles i put one on my mazda astina when i had it... the thing was bone stock with a pod filter... but it sounded good even made a "plop" noise sometimes!!!

What I'm saying is that when m cat was screwed it sounded like shit compared to the dull note I was getting with the cat.

I prefer my exhaust note to my almost silent though really

whats the best way to get the deepest sound from your exhaust? not the loudest cos i coukld just take the exhaust off from the manifold (lol i am joking but i have seen it done)
which parts? ie cat and muflers?? strait thogugh?

yeh like i only did it as im losing lisence on the 18th and then i will be getting it painted etc.... and yeh see what happens then!!

umm... has any1 tried the cat been gutted and taking off the exhaust? cause like u said sounds pretty terrible! lol.
