does anybody know if the vl calais rear seat (with the big head rests) fit striaght into a vl berlina? i think it should but not sure.any help would be good

i havnt seen the rear seats in a calais... i always thought they were just the same... can you just retrofit the headrests!? if not... i cant see why they wont fit... i mean the rear seats just clip on and clip off anyway and i dont think they wouldve changed that setup for the calais

Back seats are interchangeable from the VB - VL on all sedans.. now the thing that might get you is the head rests, if they sit in the actual seat or there's a bit welded onto the Calais chasis to hold the headrests into place..

I know for a fact the VB SL/E seat we had with the headrests didn't have the thing in the seat, and trying to get the VB SL/E seat into the VH SL/X and a VL Exec. the headrests were just sitting there (could pull them out with great ease), I'm told because there's a bit welded to the chassis to hold them up and lock them into place but I'm not 100% so you might want to do check out some wreckers or wait for someone who knows to reply.

VK Calais (I think same for VL) Have two "loops" of metal attached for the head rests to clip into. I can take a photo of the VK Calais back seat metal to show you if you like....

The headrests require the welding of calais headrest brackets to the metal behind the seats, or you can do what we did with cable ties LOL but don't let anyone lean their head on them they are just for show.

all vl Calais Have The Metal Brackets they are just weld on the back so u need 4 brackets in toatal i sell them on Ebay look for my Adds as I sell alot of VL Calais stuff on there.

Well I'm chasing the brackets and the pins that go from the headrest to the brackets. Your ebay add wasn't really related to anything apart from your profile and calipers and I'm too slack to keep looking.

PM me a price or link me to a setup auction if you'd like to deal through ebay - which I don't mind. But I definately am chasing a price, if its too dear I'll make it myself.
