Default Temp Gauge Fitting to 5L Injected

I have a VL , 5 litre Injected - it never had a temp gauge working on the dash,
Im in the process of fitting an after market & require some assistance
The Temp sensor on the block now goes to the CPU - Computer , The only other temp sensor/ switch seems to be on the radiator . There is no thermo fans .but the wiring seems to go to relays
Can I used this port in the radiator to place the sensor that came with the Temp gauge or is this a bad idea , or can some one suggest an alternative .

I thought that the sensor on the block ,Drivers side under the exhaust manifold, would be the one too use.????
