    Question electric antenna

    gday ppl's

i have a VL Berlina with an electric antenna , not broken but stuck down in its hole (somebody pushed it down too far). It still works , I hear it everytime i start & stop the car. Is there an easy way to fix it or do i have to take the front guard off?

id say youd have to take the guard off, its the only way to get at the unit itself which is what youll need to get into to get the antenna out. Ive been trying to get into mine every other way becuase im trying to find the jumper as the one off the factory stereo has disappeared and its had a few radios in it since. you dont know where it is do you? the antenna goes up with the switch on the dash and then goes back down again cos it needs a feed off the radio to stay up

dont take the gaurd off!!! simply take the front wheel off and undo the plastic screw-push clips holding the splash plastic in place. take it out and whattayaknow? acces to your antenna!

thank god i found this thread, i was going to take off my mates front guard, you can hear the sound but its not moving... ill probably take the guard off anyway and mask the paint and spray paint the little grey parts on the front... lazy mans way. the other day we painted the vn grill black and it looked pretty good and this should look alright too for a while that is.
