hi all,

finally got another wiring loom for the vl today and now it idles perfectly, still need to use "start ya bastard" to start it but when running seems ok. Only thing is i still can't rev it over 2500rpm and i've tried four diff afm and no diff but i did notice when i put my hand over the air intake with the afm off i can feel my hand being sucked but the car still idles perfectly so i'm guessing i must have a huge vacumm leak somewhere which is why it won't rev anymore that 2500rpm.

does it lose power at 2.5 or does it bounce at 2.5?? manual or auto??

is this happening in park, neutral or in gear? what happens when you stall it up?

Loses power just wants to stall, its an auto and does it in park and neutral.

mine did that. it might be the (AFM) wiring

Might be the air filter too!
