alrighty then i have had a good think about what i want to do with my car, it will be comming off the road in a few weeks and the 6 months rego will be cashed in for a major overhaul... im moving back to nowra and have been offered my old job back with my own car with the job to run about in so i made up a small list of im provements of things that HAVE to be done and things i WANT to do, so here goes

HAVE TO DO:
*rust cut out from under windscreen and spare tyre well.
*replace windscreen because of huge ass crack in it from headbutting mate.
*fix hand brake, the cable is ok but somthings broken there.
*fix headlights, no high beam atm.
*new drivers side front blinker, its still in one piece but shattered.
*seal boot, ends up with puddles when it rains.
*new front rio bar, bent from wombat.

WANT TO DO:
*de-badge.
*new front and rear bumbers + side skirts, group A.
*calais nosecone.
*calais taillights.
*calais dash cluster.
*new rubber kit all round.
*new bonnet, currant one has hole for scoop.
*new boot, currant one has dent from some asshole when i was at shops.
*window tint.
*new shocks, springs, bushes.
*new wheel bearings.
*take out engine for rebuild and hopefully turbo.
*respray phantom purple over silver 2 tone.
*tidy up electrical wiring.
*new radiator.
*stage 2 shift kit.
*new carpet.
*smoothed dash and center console and sprayed phantom purple.
*re-trim seats and door trims (purple leather).
*new parcel shelf.

well thats it so far i have no intentions for a stereo system yet i dont use them anyway, this will take me at least 2 years to complete (im not made of money) but will be well worth it in the end, untill then its back to a thrashed 89 hilux as a daily driver... waddya think guys? any other opinions or ideas would be appreciated.

Yep, all sounds pretty good mate.
Just make sure you DEFINATLEY turbo the motor, i've had 2 vl's, one stock as a rock, the other exc. turbo auto.
That thing SCARED me at the time, still one of the best commodores i've had as far as grunt is concerned.
Anyway good luck with it, should be awesome when it's finished.

yeh if i do turbo it( i sooo want to but we'll see with funds) it will be the last thing to go on...i like the auto so yeh im sticking with that even though my mates keep sayin to get a 5spd but im used to how i drive the auto now

cool man should keep you busy for a while. you should put air suspension in it

i dunno i might i get back to nowra in 9 days so its going into the garage and then ill get the ball rolling by striping it and getting any rust cut out
