hi ppls.. i bought some new rims.. they r 16's BBS.. they llook hot on my VL..
newayz they are 7 inch wide n i think they 225's.. does any1 know if thats 2 wide for legality? also they pretty close on the fenders gap? will i have 2 worry bout scraping the metal to tyres..? thx

on a vl thats leagal but any higher than seven and its not
but ive got 17x8 on my car and the cops dont even do any thing but legaly they are to wide

Yeah you are legally entitled tp put 17x7.5 on a VL with no legal hassles because interceptors had a 6.5 inch wheel and you can go 1 inch bigger. But then again the walkinshaw had 16x7 and that is in the VL series of cars so we can go 1 inch bigger again. This is in the Vicroads rules. It goes something like this: you are allowed to fit a wheel/tyre no more than 15mm in diameter larger or smaller than the largest or smallest wheels/tyres fitted to that vehicle series.
