RB30 auto box wont kick down at all.

Hi all this just started last night when I fitted a calais cluster but am not sure if it has anything to do with it, it used to kick down like a dream, but now it gets stuck in HI gear when cruising. Any help would be appreciated!!

p.s. was thinking the throttle position sensor? Or accelerator cable needs adjusting?? dunno. HELP!!!!!

also something I noticed when installing the cluster was that the old cluster had a plug going from the speedo to the back of the cluster (very short plug maybe an inch and a half) but the new cluster has nowhere for this plug to go into the speedo but the other plug is in the back of the cluster. I have read on a google search that the kickdowns need the speedo to be functioning properly.

LOL guess what??? I fixed it haha rebuilt the calais cluster with my old speedo and it kicks down like an animal again. The old speedo had a circuitboard on the back of it but the calais one did not it means it was probably a 5 litre one and the tacho is not accurate but it looks the part anyway.
Oh it says model L6 on the cluster (calais one)
