if u can get ur hands on prepsol (wax and grease remover) this would do it with no prob but thats more hard 2 get, the other alternative is wat i used str8 metho, it works well and takes it off BUT it takes the gloss off this isnt a big drama if u wax the area st8away.

the reason the other badges where so easy to clean the tape off is that they have been off b4 and were replaced with new tape, where the front and rear left 1s had the factory tape on and after all the years the heat had baked them on causing them to go hard and crispy.

you can use a laminated card (like a library card) to scrape it off then hit it with the polish afterwards to get the rest off. (not wax)

I've got to pull my front badge of to fix all the stone chip damage, prob replace with the vr type badge. But what do you use to glue it back on. Also would you you the same method of removing and replacing for the outside door trims (plastic ones).

2 replace badges i used some M3 scotch doublesided tape, thats the comen tape used in all crash repairers, i used it on a vs badge 4 my car because i get it 4 free 4rom my work,
as 4 the the side panel/moulds you do the same thing just doublesided tape and if u want it 2 stay on 4 eva then use a couple dobs of urerthain (window sealer)

try heating the sikaflex (black sticky stuff) with hair dryer.. & I used a prepsol soaked rag wraped around a flat blunt knife to get my badges off....

whereabouts can i find this double sided tape...the vs badges look good might just look wierd on my car, UNLESS i go cream silver and chrome...nah think i'll stick to the cream and black.
