hi,
a friend of mine has a VL and he's having problems with it! he's been told it's the fuel pum! my question is whereabouts is the fuel pump in a VL??? i thought it was external but my friend has been told it's inside the tank???
thanks in advance for any replies!!
in the tank right side give it a few good hits to ger it goin if it stops
the 6 cyl wagons have 2, 1 in the tank and the other outside at the rear, dont know about the sedans, some publications say they only have 1
most autoelectricians are familiar with VL fuel pumps, first check the electric connections, also look at the rubber fuel line sections which will eventually burst if never renewed
fuel can spurt out if you dont wait a while before undoing the hose

a high pressure outside the tank replace both $240
one fails the other soon follows
Research has shown that men usually sleep on the right side of the bed.
Even in our sleep we happen to be right.

there are two, 1 in the tank is the feeder to the high pressure outside the tank, they are wire parrallel so run together untill that regulator turns them off. I had no end of problemns , I recon regulator as I clamped off return line at the manifold before the regulator, which depends on Vacum to operate, and it started straighta way.Originally Posted by lilkel
Regards, one very patient VL owner, if secondary high pressure goes, go aftermarket, they have an anti flow back valve, or better still HOLLEY
