could u guys plz tell me some fairly cheap (under 300 Bucks) under bonnet mods i could do to improve performance of my car? btw has anyone here heard of a HSV Jackaroo? just curious... lol

I would put the money towards a set of preminm tyres, the VL already has all the power it needs

Tyres are a for sure item on the list...........but as far as under the bonnet goes....new plugs, leads, oil, filters, cold air intake perhaps........

Tyres are good, and the front ones are sort of underneith the bonnet ..

But seriously, here's a few threads that should be able to help you out/give you some direction (some will cost more/less than $300):

Performance
- Airbox versus pod filter
- Performance chips (RB30)
- $3,500 for mods (RB30)
- Turbo versus Supercharger (RB30)

And as for the HSV Jackaroo.. yep.. 79 of them built in 1993.. had 130kW/260nM through the 3.2 litre V6

do u know how much on average they're worth? my mum paid 15000 for hers. sorry for asking jackaroo question in a VL forum too. Ummmm.. ive got da cai.... and just put new spark plugs in... i must add im low on money (my job aint very busy this time of year) so i just want basic little tips...

An easy tip, take everything that is not needed in the car out, less weight=more performance.

so theres a ruffy on the prices of tyres, and not fitted means not fitted on 2 the rim/alloy/stocky

wheel size...............................cost

these prices dosent inculde fitting and balancing

yeah go the K&N panel filter, more airflow=more power. i dunno how keen you are but from what ive seen the XF throttle body conversion wouldnt be to expensive. Im thinkin o doin that when i hit home in a week anyways... I dont know how much extra power youll get, but theres a full spread on how to do it on the WA commodore club site, jus google it if you interested.
