take the entire braking system to be sure mate, and consult a workshop manual to confirm the current setup.

It will not have enough pressure to clamp the 2 spot calipers if the master cylinder and booster are not up to the job, you will need the hubs and correct brake lines. I think you can get away with a v8 or turbo master cylinder and booster(not 100% sure).
the brakes r fianlly off vs, looks like a str8 bolt on 2 the vl. all the same layout and pattern.
i read up on the vls master cylinder and it says its bore is 23.8mm, would that 1.2mm differance from the 1" really make a major diffrance in the feel and performace of the breaking?
ucwepn cheers 4 the info

make sure you change the hubs over. you need a 1" master cylinder to get the brakes to activate fully.especially in emergency.
hubs? wat r these and wat will these gain or succsed? r that just the part which hold the studs onOriginally Posted by bangers

on the front the hub slides onto your stub axle and houses the bearings. it secures the rotor (brake disc) in place. you need the vt hub to secure the vt rotors.
yeah they should bold on, there are kits to put the VT breaks onto a vl so have a look at one of them and see what you are missing and try and get that part seperate
my web sitestuff on the XF throttle body conversion, calais interior and lots of other junk!
havn problems finding 1 of these kits![]()
i was look at my discs and my stock 1s have a differant lip on it compard to the vt discs. would this affect it? eg wheel fittn on
and the vts brakes (which was on a vs) were held on by any thing just the caliper held it in place and the studs. i was thinking would this b ok on a vl if the hubs dont need swapn and it fits ok?
the calipers line up ok with the mount its just the little disc problem i wanna c if i can get a insite on, b4 i try 2morrow
im currntly brokeso im hopnn its a str8 swap

You need the adaptors, they are available through the shop on jc's.
1" master would be recommended to give you a stiffer pedal feel. Same with the Booster, I've been told by alot of people its needed, but you'll get away without it. Especially when the cost of a new one is a bit steep.
Talk to Garth or Darren, in the shop all the information for these conversions are there, you may be able to get a seperate piece or two.
