hi ppl
im about to sell my much beloved vl as it just ran out of reg and the missus needs a few things so it has to go unfortunately.
its just your standard vl exec auto. very straight, runs like a dream, but paint faded on roof and bonnet, also has a warped disc on the front. other than that its been a great car for me for the last 5 yrs. giving me no problems.
any thoughts of a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.
im in redcliffe , nth of bris.
well you would want to go to the wreckers and get a new disc for the front, it might cost you $80 but it will add $150 to the price, easy to doo too, bleed the breaks.
probably want to look in the trading post and see a few prices in there and see what ones match your car.
my web sitestuff on the XF throttle body conversion, calais interior and lots of other junk!
Not much unfortunately mate, bog stock, unregistered with some paint issues.. 2-3..
Just call a mobile machinist to do the brakes, if they are still within tolerances it shouldn't cost much to machine them flat again.
My son just sold his VL stock auto exec., no power steering but in pretty good nick. Also some faded paint - gave the roof and bonnet some double cut polish and came up looking pretty good. Had minimal rust in the usual areas and mechanicaly sound.
Also had a DIY dent repair in rear panel which he booted in when his missus hissed him off one day. Done 235,000k's. Advertised it for $2,000 and was offered $1,500 which he grabbed without negotiating - wonder if he could have got more??
Anyhow, this is Perth prices, but might give you an idea. Also, was registered.
not enough info, k's -history- head been done -etc.
still as bex said 2k if its bog stock with screwed paint would be high end.
stewart refer to them as breaks again and ill break you lol.
you'll brake him?
lol brake yes brake!
