    Default Heavy Mixture

Just want to know what items under the bonnet have nething to do with the fuel mixture?

Had a bloke in my car telling me about hooking up some sort of item that will backfire when a button is pushed...so i showed him i didn't need a button...I've had my exhaust looked at and fixed twice in the past 3 months. But when it gets drop into second...BANG BANG!

take the kick panel off on the passengers side...the computers there.....if the lights are flashing on it make sure that you count how many times the red and green flash in sequence. if there is more than one fault, they will flash in a certain sequence(red first then green)then have a short break, then flash again.the codes are as follows:
    11 crank angle
    12 Air flow
    13 Coolant temp
    14 Speed sensor
    21 Ignition signal circuit
    23 Throttle switch circuit
24 Neutral Switch circuit (auto's only)
    31 Air-con circuit
    32 Starter signal circuit
34 Detonation sensor circuit (turbo's only)
44 Satisfactory operation (air-con models only)
Click the scales.....you know you want to!!!!

yeah i'm pretty sure that you do have the engine running. also i forgot to mention that the red led represents 10's and the green represents 1's so 1 red flash and 3 green flashes equals 13......

You will have to go for a little drive as well and have someone sitting next to you to write down the codes it says, like when you move the car the speed sensor circuit will cancel etc..

    Default fault codes

you only need to be ideling to check fault codes but the car must be at opprating temp

driveing the car apparantly resets the fault codes
and also the turning screw need to be set far right

so i would read more before u do it

jules, o2 sensor definately change, dizzy cap could be - depends on how munted it is.. if the points look really corroded and hollowed out, time for a new one, and a new button.

yeah theres a little screw on it there that you have to turn... left to reset, right to run self diagnostic? but dont quote me on that, jus goin off the top o my head atm...
but for sure you dont have to go for a drive, just ignore the codes it spits out that are irrelevant, ie speed sensor, air con if its stuffed etc...

nah dont have to run the car to get the codes, it will jus spit out a couple extras at you if you dont, like 32 for the starter circuit.

you turn the screw gently all the way left, start the car (or jus turn the ignition on). both lights should come on, now turn gently all the way right. ot will spit out the codes...

an to erase the fualt codes memory, jus turn ignition on, turn the screw right all the way for 2 secs, then left all the way for 2 secs, an switch the key off. done!

I got it from repco...the one i pulled out looked a bit damaged/dirty, and wasn't all that tight to undo, one tiny turn with the spanner than hand done. Don't know about the fuel diff yet only filled up a full tank 2day. I'll let you know tho.
