remember the radiator cap

a worrying loss of cooling water from my VL was eventually traced to..... a defective radiator cap, a new one fixed the problem
the old one looked modern and there was no sign of damage to the rubber parts of it

i suspected mine of being faulty and replaced it recently. the extra pressure in the cooling system then blew the water pump. replaced that too. all good now though.
