    Default Centre console,calais-exec. stupid question

my centre console is damaged and i have found some for sale on ebay from a calais to replace it. However it only seems to be the "high rise console" & "sunglasses holder" sold seperately as add ons to your existing console. So if i replace my damaged exec. console with the same unit, do i then buy these as add ons and clip them into it??? or will these replace the entire exec console?? im confused......... does any1 know??

The highrise console is the whole console and the sunglasses holder screws to in front of the shifter. I'm pretty sure that it will be the whole console but email him and ask to be sure, normal consoles are cheap and easy to get if need be anyway.

use the bits off yours. the sunglasses holder just clips on if you want it. the whole console is the same from exec. to calais. just all the bits clip or screw on. my exec has a high tower and i just got a sunglasses holder that slots in.

bargain!! nice find, my centa console is cracked in 2 places and has another piece missin about size of 50 cent piece so new console should make a difference, given the rest of interior is in fairly good condition...if i do say so meself....oh and i snapped the 3 screws plastic things that hold it in place at the back..stays in place though.

The exec consoles are dirt cheap and everywhere, mine is tan colour which is very common as is the grey. prolly pick one up for $20 or so from the wreckers

not rare as such just less common, burgandy is rare. oh and the vynil dye dries to a like rubber sort of finish and doesn't come off LOL. and it just goes to show the value of ford parts when fairmont ghia parts are so cheap and the equivalent holden calais parts are damn expensive haha.

blue isint really blue... Id say greeny blue or "bleen" or maybe "grue" ? lol its name is Cerulean. Didnt think it was rare? Oh wasnt as popular in the VL's huh? Both my VL's were grey, & all the VKC I know all have Cerulean. I know there is other colours.... Just seemed to be "the" colour lol

You could always try fitting a VK console? I know that you can put VL Calais into VK... dunno if it goes the other way....
