just a quick question, ive heard that the highbeam fuse melting is a common thing in vl,can you tell me the main cause for this?
The amps pulled through the contacts makes to much heat and they melt..
A relay would stop this...
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!
RIP Peter (perfect) Brock....
cheers mag will save me some trouble
A lot of times people have added those higher wattage high beam globes to replace the 55/65 W with 55/100 Watts.
I did that on a VN and it drew too much, so I split the high beam circuit up via a relay .
will even do it on the standard globes as well, replace high and low beam fuses with the same strength fuse but in an inline fuse holder.
Never upgrade the globes on a VL unless you get it re-wired to handle it. Switches have been known to melt and catch fire, as well as the reflective surrounds of the globe itself.
thank you all for info
thats happend 2 my low beam twice 2
