    Arrow Hi Stall

You can't just pick an rpm range, it all depends on the cam ur using..
Ask me if you have more Questions....

    Thumbs up stall

Ok there's no point doing a stall converter with standard cam!!
Say atm with auto the car gets going at 800rpm and revs to 5000rpm,
you have 4000 usable rpm and if you put a 3000rpm stall in with the std cam you'll fly from a start if you nail it but you now only have 2000 usable left..
So say you put in a nice cam that starts working from 3000rpm and revs to 7000rpm then you need a stall of 3000rpm making power all the to 7000rpm...
The hotter the cam the higher up the rev range moves from where the power starts and where it drops off.
Oh nearly forgot diff ratio needs to be changed and a heap of other things too!
Hope that makes sence for you??
If you are sticking to a std cam by all means get some work done on the auto, tougher parts-harder gear changes from shift kit ect..

And 4 other readers do you know of a auto car with a HOT cam that stalls every time it's put in gear when cold and has to start it over and over again then it's gutless until the revs get higher - well that car needs a stall converter.
One more thing you CAN take off from a stand still like normal and it's good to be able to take your foot off the brake pedal without the car moving foward like ALL std autos do. I'll shutup now
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

If ur going 5 speed and a mild cam the manuel box will be fine, go to hotter cam and it will be a pig to drive..
