selling price

due to needing something smaller i need to sell my 87 VL auto sedan. the interior is in really good clean condition. paint job is in pretty decent condition but the plastic trims around the car have minor cracks which i have noticed is pretty common on other VLs. it starts first go even after sitting for 2 weeks. its only done 250,000kms. what price do you think i should be asking for it? any advice would be great.

and 1500>2000 privete coz the milage is getn high

250,000 k's is pretty average for a vl these days, Its actually quite good when you consider the age of the car and doing 20,000k's a year on average you do the maths, I've seen vt's with more k's. You would be looking for $2000-$3000 depending on what options it has and what has been replaced, reco'd and repaired.

Redbook is not an accurate price, its designed for the dealers and insurance company to pull a fast one over you when you trade in or claim on insurance.

it depends on any work done - extractors/exhuast, mags etc... these are things that younger people will find attractive when buyin, where as older people lookin for a run around are prob gonna be more interested in its service history and that sort of thing. all depends on who walks in the door.
look in the trading post or quokka and find what level yours fits in with the rest out there an price it accordingly, easiest way i figure. also, if its insured, what do they say its worth? (not that the bastards have any intention of ever payin you that)

my mate just bought his blue VL with 4 17" 5 spoke alloy mags sony 6X9's some cheap CD player and wooden steering wheel installed for $800 bucks with no rego but RWC in ACT
