looking for information on noisy lifters , oil pressure dropping from 28psi to 12psi but pump and pick up is ok heard was common problem with vls

the oil pressure goes down a lot on mine from a cold start as the oil gets warmed up
if the lifters are only noisy on starting this suggests the need for an oil and filter change

have you tried hooking up another oil pressure gauge.....a lot of vl dash oil pressure gauges like to flicker.....

just get a new oil pressure switch or gauge and if it doesnt solve the problem then look for the actual proble, could be something stuffed in the oil filter
