Hard to say, has it been well looked after?
And how are you going to treat the car?
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!
RIP Peter (perfect) Brock....
yeh depends on everything, treatment prior to when u owned it and how u treat it. The fuel u use(Premo or just Unleaded), how reg its serviced, all that.
it looks good have to go 400ks to buy it.230000ks is not a lot for its age i have seen some with over 350000ks on them.ill treat her right i guess im nervous.my old hq ute that she is replacing has been around the clock many times and the old 202 motors seem to run for ever.i just dont know how long the nissan 6s last.
im confused and scared it looks ok and has not done a lot of ks for its age.when i pick her up from melb. i have to drive 400ks home.it will be a fun trip im taking the mobile phone incase i need to call for help.and a spare pair of jocks cause im sure to be shitting myself all the way home that something will go wrong
Just give it a regular service, dont flog the hell out of it all the time and it should last you quite a while.
should be good for years so long as you dont do![]()

im not admiring your car im looking in disgust
yeah, take a few bottles of water, some fuel, one of those battery jumper packs and youll be fine lol. take a nice deck chair aswell then if you gotta wait for help you dont have to wait in the car lol
my web sitestuff on the XF throttle body conversion, calais interior and lots of other junk!
They say 400,000 is Nissan's service life and it's still only a guide...
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!
RIP Peter (perfect) Brock....
Yeah I've heard of some nissan 6's that still have the hone marks in the bore after 400,000ks. They last just as long or longer than the buick 6 which can get over 400,000 pretty easily on petrol,, waaaay longer if it's been on lpg all it's life... Holden 202's are normally had it after 250,000 no matter what a 202 will never last as long as a nissan 6, the metal quality just isn't there
Hey mutant, I understand your worries, picking up the car, I had to pick up my VP V8 from Geelong and drive 300kms home, my wife gave me her mobile phone. The VP needed a steering alignment and had terrible wobbly retreds on the front and the heater was stuck on! so it wasn't much FUN driving home on a 35c day when half of Victoria was under smoke from the bushfires so I had to have the windows open breathing smoke for 3 hours, plus I got lost in Geelong and was driving in circles for ages. I had one fun bit when I passed a truck for the first time
bbbboooOooOOOOOOOORRRRRRT. In the end I made it home !: )
