Default series 1 or 2 identification

was there any change in identification letters or codes for the VL series 2 ?

do any of the identification plates show whether its series 1 or 2 , was there a badge on the car? I remember seeing a 'series 2' badge on a later commodore

everything from the VN up i think has a series 2 badge. Sum1 told me the pattens in the calais interior is different from series 1 and 2 in the VL. Im pretty sure it says in the VIN number so you'll neeed your handbook .. if u have 1 . i have 2 im too lazy to check now

Actualy you have it around the wrong way... series one had hard plastic holey headrests - Like VK Calais, & Series 2 had padded headrests. Also series 2 Calais had covered gloveboxes... & high rise centre consoles with extra compartment.

I have never seen a covered glovebox in a series 1 unless it had been added by owner.

    Chrome door handles rock.

They look alot more classy IMO.

Oh mine is a series 1, so the door handles are originals.
