a ceramic head on a VL turbo. does he have a unicorn horn shifter? seriously, i very much doubt he has a ceramic head, even if rb26 is right and he does have a ceramic turbine wheel (re: stock nissan turbo) they arent much good for over 1 bar as the friction weld between the wheel and the steel shaft fractures and sends pretty little pieces of wheel down the exhaust.

yeah i thought it sounded weird myself what i think he actually means is that it is ceramic coated ive looked everywhere just about and all i could find was coated pistons and head and stuff not full ceramic but does anyone know what kind of spacer he needs and its not a stock turbo if he says it can run 11's i think he said its a t4

A ceramic head would shatter in the first 5 mins or so as soon as the cracks start developing it would say "enough". He prolly means ceramic coated pistons and a copper headgasket. which would lower the compression and make it slightly more boost friendly.

    And his car runs 11's????

I think he would be running alot more boost to get anywhere near 11's, but that is just my opinion.

Is his motor an original turbo or is it Normally Aspirated??

Does he run an aftermarket ecu??

Try to find out as much as possible.

5-10 pound is stock boost and they run what ... high 14's ?? u would have to spend like $30000 to make a car do 11's with only 10 pound boost

the car has about $25000 worth and he says it has done high 11s and ill have to see if it is origanal turbo i know the turbo he has in there is a t4 and he just needs a copper gasket or some spacer to run more boost

in all honesty, if he has spent that much on the engine, his builder should be able to give him this information. but if he is interested, check out this site http://www.not2fast.com/turbo/compre...pression.shtml

If he spent that much on the motor, he should not need a shim to lower compression.
